Blueberry cake, old fashion, apple fritters, cinnamon crumb, glazed and bavarian cream are among the most popular, they are a must when getting donuts from banbury :D

Yes
That was probably a one time isolated indecent I go there often and the store is always so clean I see they always wear hairnets aprons and gloves. Either that or u you were jus trying to get a free donut 🍩. Lol I bet you still ate it. That's how good they are.
Bavarian creams are the best there!
Nope.
They do not deliver.
I believe 1986
The "hole" part of any doughnut is vegan.
I really don't think so.
Very delicious donuts! I honestly am not a donut person, I just love to taste and support local places that I hear about a lot and Banbury is a name I hear on a daily here. If I ever crave a donut though, this is the place I'll come to! :)
Still most variety, tastiest donuts! Just come early. Everyone is good about social distancing, employees with masks & gloves! Thank you
My workplace colleagues bring donuts from here all the time, and I liked them, so I decided to go there. I bought a dozen donuts, and the menu said it was $9.98 or something for a dozen. Their clerk initially typed in $9.98 or something, and the machine said $1 something for tax. So, my total should've been around $11. But, after the machine displayed tax, the guy typed added $4.XX to my charge, making the total over $15. It was very crowded, and I didn't want to cause people to wait, so I paid and left. Then, I called them to ask about this surcharge. A guy answered the phone, and after I asked the question, no response. I could hear the background noise and people talking, so I know the call was still connected. I kept saying, "hello. are you still there? hello?" No answer, so I gave up. Their donuts are good compared to other joints, but I must say their customer service and the weird extra charge I received make them less than ideal.
Looooong wait with the car line, it was raining but seemed like if you could park and run in to wait it would be way faster. Prices can't be beat. Fresher than any chain.
Great doughnuts by far one of the best. Clean location bare metal standard approved.
Really quick and clean service. I appreciated the staff and customers use of masks and other protective wear.
Excellent doughnut shop, very friendly staff, not over priced, and they are not vegan!! I'm not vegan so that works out great and they don't cost $32.00 a dozen. You guys rock, thank you for making a quality product at a reasonable price.
Just barely started going here after living here for 20 years! Sooooo good. Don't forget to ask for fritters, they aren't included in the assorted dozen.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was super excited to try these donuts. Gladly waited in line for over an hour only to pull up and receive the worst customer service. Only cake donuts left, okay what kinds? Chocolate or Vanilla. What about fritters?(Sheet rack of fritters next to the window) I can’t sell those today. Drove away with 6 donuts. 4 chocolate cake and two old fashioned. Can’t eat any of the chocolate ones because two had coconut and the others had colored sprinkles. (Coconut intolerance and allergy to red dye 40) This review got 2 stars, one for each of the Old Fashioned, they were fantastic. I may have returned for donuts another time, but the customer service really affected my entire day, please put your friendly employees at the drive up window. All I expected was a hello and some communication about what was still available.
I had the most pleasant experience this morning at Banbury Cross. I was picking up a dozen donuts for my team but couldn’t math properly at 6:30 am and decide which flavors I wanted. The man helping me was so patient. I ended up with my usual favorites, strawberry and Bavarian, along with some other popular choices like the maple bar, the twist, and some glazed donuts. I can’t give enough compliments about this place! They make their donuts fresh, the toppings are on point, and the prices are reasonable. I find other donuts too oily, too sweet, or too dry. Banbury’s donuts is just right.
The staff is so friendly and can talk to each product so well! They were so patient whole I asked about the different donuts and picked my half dozen. I recommend trying a variety to find your favorite!
It's got a small parking lot, it can accommodate about 10 cars parked, they do have a drive through for quick pickup. I asked for an assortment dozen, and some donut holes. The staff was extremely friendly! The donut holes were amazing, they treat the donut holes as if they are real sized donuts, filled with some type of filling, dipped in chocolate, or topped with sprinkles etc... they're in the upper right of photo 1. The assortment was as equally delicious, their cake donuts are moist, yet dry enough to have the perfect combination, the actual dough that they use for their donuts is light and fluffy, not dense and heavy. You know you're eating something that has been perfected over years.I would gladly go back to this place and get donuts again. This donut shop is the kinda place you bring your kids to create memories that will last a lifetime.
I could smell the donuts as soon as I stepped out of our Airbnb and knew there was a donut shop nearby. Had to come in to try it and wasn’t disappointed! If it’s busy don’t let that turn you away - it’s well worth the wait for the food, atmosphere, and really nice employees.Sorry we made a mess on the table.
Whoa. Rich, intense chocolate cake and frosting. Smooth, delicious texture in the cake and in the thick frosting. And, a surprisingly crisp exterior that makes it taste fresh, light, and unique.
This is the second visit with my wife and I (4-20-2020 10:30am), sticky buns are amazing. Good friendly service. We got a dozen donuts a good variety, but the only good thing was the sticky bun. Everything else had the taste of dirty reused burnt oil. The chocolate had no taste and the sugar donut tasted like an expired cough syrup. They've been in business for a while that's great, seems like there getting to comfertable on what they think is good, instead of what actually taste good. Re-evaluation on taste wouldn't be a bad idea, I woulnt say they are the best in salt but ill be going back to Donuts and Deli 2700 south and state instead.
The sour cream donut here might be one of the best in Salt Lake. Love the cinnamon too.
We arrived in the afternoon and there were still plenty of choices at Banbury Cross. We got a couple of buttermilk bars and I had to show some restraint not to buy six more! The texture was perfect and they were just sweet enough-- some of the best I've ever had. We also loved the raised doughnuts. The cinnamon crunch they are famous for was so fluffy and delicious. We loved the maple too. We also got an apple Fritter. We tried it but saved most to heat up later. My kids loved the cinnamon roll also. Banbury Cross is definitely worth visiting repeatedly. The customer service was great!
The donuts were amazing. They were a hit for staff at training. The Chocolate Bismark was tasty and delicious. The apple fritters were a trip down memory lane. They were just as good as Grandma's. Stop in if your in the area and get a donut that Homer would die for.
Always crowded, but always worth it. It's a bit faster to park and go inside rather than use the drive thru. You can park on the street for n easier get away. Best donuts in town.
If you get the maple bar, you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately we ventured away from the classic donuts though. We got an orange roll, a sticky bun, and an apple fritter. The apple fritter was pretty good, but the orange roll and sticky bun were pretty dry and didn’t taste fresh. We also had to wait an extra 5 minutes to pay after getting our donuts, which isn’t a deal breaker, but it could be run a lot more efficiently with the amount of workers. All in all, I liked this place, but there are plenty of good options around here so I probably won’t go back.
The counter guy is the best. Best time to go? Early in the morning. So fresh. But somehow, if you happen to have any left, these donuts are still good in the afternoon. For a second go around
The bear claw donut actually looks like a bear paw! Cool! The others I got were light, fresh, and tasty!
Delicious cake and pastry donuts. Perfectly crisp and soft.
The location is quiet and frank. Inside has an awesome welcoming feeling. Donuts, I had a twist, and I've had better. The cake donut with chocolate seemed very sweet. Staff are super nice and professional!
What can I say, the best donuts I ever have (IMO). A small but very popular sweet to locals. I was introduced into this sweet at work from University of Utah on several occasions like meeting, party and gathering and become a staple sweet for an event, my kids go crazy about it, yes be careful they will have sugar rush so limit to one donut only. not sure if its family own or business venture but this business is a plus for the salt lake community of Utah. Just have to try it to believe it.
I've never had a cake donut like these! My family has been telling me for years about this place, so when I came to town I had to go. They were out of most of my family's favorites, so we went with the strawberry cake donuts, chocolate coconut, and apple fritter. The cake donuts were AMAZING. They were delicately crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm sad I don't live closer to this place, but I can't wait to go back! I'll definitely be visiting this every time I'm in town!
I was disgusted by donuts before I I wouldn't waist my money on 1..... amazing staff always smiling and nice they want to know there customers. The shop feels down to earth and positive vibes.... they got me with that Bavarian Cream and now if it's not banbury cross made I'm not waiting my time. Thank you guys not just for the amazing snack but for the hospitality
Legendary Salt Lake doughnut provider. If you are in need of a sugar fix that will tax that pancreas of yours and tastes yummy simultaneously then this is the spot.
An amazing donut shop that is very underrated. The best donut shop in Salt Lake City for the price. Very fresh, the customer service is amazing, and just an overall great little spot. I don’t write reviews often, but they were really great to me and even with the long line got me in and out and went above and beyond. Thanks guys!
Amazing tasting donuts. It was my first time here and I asked the employee to choose your best tasting donuts. I was not disappointed in his selection, all four donuts were delicious.
The cinnamon crumble, glazed and maple doughnuts were excellent!
This is an iconic Donut shop in Salt Lake City , maybe the most famous one since 1986.If you come here on a weekend after 11 am , chances are that you won’t find any donuts left , even when they have a huge variety of them.Yes , is that popular. However , not all donuts here are as great as you would expect. The Chocolate ones are just terrible , to say the least. No matter what donut you get with Chocolate , they never taste as good as other donut places. The Cinnamon rolls are a must try since they’re prefect in every sense : presentation, consistency , flavor...The Buttermilk are decent but not the best either as well as their Maple ones.Service is always good and I would come back but I won’t call this place best donuts in Salt Lake City.Im afraid other places are better but this one is still a good donut shop.
We were so excited to get donuts. Waited for 20 minutes in the line and the car in front of us got donuts and then as we pull up to the window there was sign that read “closed”. As a small business owner myself, I would be very embarrassed if any of my clients were ever treated like this. Hope this review inspires them to value their customers!!
An oldie but a goodie. Banbury Cross has been a staple in Utah for over 30 years. The donuts they bake are big and delicious! If you like donuts, Banbury Cross is a must. They have a wide range of donuts to select from (including cake donuts). Some of the donuts I really like include the blueberry frosted, strawberry frosted, cinnamon covered, and apple fritters. Whatever you choose you can't really go wrong. You can either pick your donuts up and go or stay there and enjoy them. They also have a drive through for your convenience. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.
Best donuts in town. My personal favorite is the cinnamon donut.
My husband loves this place. I pretend not to love it, but I do. He loves the fritters, I like whatever has lemon. The truth is, all of the donuts are good. Great family business & they take pride.
These are the best donuts in the valley. Coffee is pretty good too! My only complaint would be the long wait times for the drive thru (be prepared to wait longer than 10 minutes in the morning)and the tight parking lot.
I originally went here back in 2015 and wasn’t impressed. Drove by here on a Sunday as bought why not let’s give it another try. Only ordered an original glazed and Chocolate glazed. Both were very soft, fresh, and tasty. Prices were cheap. Took the drive through - doesn’t fit many cars so go at an odd time. I will try it once more before it gets a full 5 stars.
Hands down some of the best soft and crispy donuts I've ever had. Vehicle traffic is a serious problem here. Drive through traffic was backed up into the road, causing slow downs for the regular road traffic. We were able to find a parking spot and walk in to get it donuts pretty easily though. We even sat down inside to enjoy them. If they can figure out their vehicle traffic issue this would be 5 stars for sure. Maybe a second location? They certainly seem to have the demand.
Quaint donut shop with good selection of donuts. Donuts looked great and were very tasty.
